Las Canteras Beach is a lovely 3.5 km. (2 plus miles) long beach located in the middle of the city of Las Palmas.
The beach is sheltered by a lava rock reef and is part of a marine reserve.
It is a safe place to swim and if you like snorkelling, is a perfect place for you.
At the southern end, the waves are big enough for surfing.
You will also get a local feel here when you enjoy the neighbourhood restaurants and bars.
